Wash Your Hands

Before handling the menstrual cup, thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water to ensure cleanliness.

Fold the Cup

Choose a folding method that works best for you. The most common folds are the "C-fold" (press the cup flat, then fold it in half to form a C shape) or the "Punch-down fold" (push one side of the rim down into the base, creating a triangle).

Insert the Cup

While in a comfortable position (sitting, standing, or squatting), gently insert the folded cup into your vagina, aiming it towards your tailbone. The cup should sit lower than a tampon but still fully inside.

Let the Cup Pop Open

Once inserted, release the fold and allow the cup to open inside your vagina. You may need to gently twist or adjust the cup to ensure it fully opens and creates a seal against the vaginal walls.

Check the Seal

Run your finger around the base of the cup to check that it has fully opened and is adequately sealed. This helps prevent leaks.

Wear for Up to 12 Hours

Depending on your flow, you can wear the cup for up to 12 hours. The cup collects menstrual fluid without absorbing it, so you can go about your day without worrying about leaks.

Remove the Cup

To remove the cup, wash your hands and gently pull the stem until you can reach the base. Pinch the base to break the seal and slowly pull the cup out, keeping it upright to avoid spilling.

Empty and Clean the Cup

Empty the collected fluid into the toilet or sink. Rinse the cup with water; if needed, wash it with mild soap before reinserting. If you're not reinserting it immediately, sterilize it in boiling water for 5-10 minutes and store it in a clean, dry place.
